Our firm’s insolvency law experts, Stefan Weileder, David Seidl, and Katharina Weiß, were interviewed by trend magazine about the challenges of corporate restructuring in Austria. They pointed out the lack of substantive corporate insolvency law and clear legal framework conditions necessary for coordinated restructuring. In their opinion, a kind of “automatic stay” or a temporary suspension of the obligation to file for insolvency would be useful for a faster and more orderly stabilization of companies.
