GRAF ISOLA victorious before the Austrian Supreme Court: refusal to wear a mask is not a “belief”

circle light

Our labour lawyer Jakob Widner successfully represented the Samariterbund Tirol in a dismissal challenge. The Austrian Supreme Court ruled for the first time that the refusal to wear a protective mask does not qualify as a “belief”. A dismissal because of this refusal is therefore not discriminatory. The Equal Treatment Act is not violated.

This landmark decision is currently being reported in the media. Jakob Widner has briefly commented on the decision in a Standard article.
