The shortage of skilled workers is one of the biggest challenges facing the Austrian economy. To counteract this problem, the government amended various provisions in the Foreign Nationals Employment Act (AuslBG) and the Settlement and Residence Act (NAG) in 2022. \r\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Changes to the minimum salary for certain key employees\/graduates<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Adjustment of points awarded for qualifications, work experience and language skills <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Introduction of a new type of Red-White-Red Card for regular long-term workers from third countries<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Facilitation of the change of employer <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Establishment of the Austrian Business Agency ABA – \u201cWork in Austria\u201d, a specialist unit that serves as a platform for advice and support for the admission of skilled and key workers, particularly in the context of the Red-White-Red Card procedure<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
